A couple of years ago when I
created my Facebook, I was amazed about all the features it offered. Just
commentating friends pictures was a huge thing for me. However, through the
years I have got used most of Facebook’s features and even though I am still
using it I am not amazed anymore. It is feelings like this in combination with
competition from other social Medias such as Instagram, Twitter and YouTube
that pushes Facebook to constantly develop.
One of those developments is that you are now able to promote your own statuses. It works like this: when you are writing a status and you are about to post it you get a button above what you just wrote where it says promote. If you click there you get an opportunity to pay $7.00 to promote your status, and what that means is that your post will come up as the head news on all your friends news feed.
Obviously,
this would not be anything I would use a lot for my for my personal life, but
it would definitely be something I would use for a business. What do you guys
think about it?

I think that it is a very interesting idea on the new ways to promote your business and also a great way for Facebook to make a little extra money. I have only one problem with it and its the people receiving the post. It would be very ingoing having to go through all the business stuff before actually getting info about family and friends.
ReplyDeleteThis does seem good for businesses but I also don't think that facebook will ever be a company's number one choice for getting their word out there. It is a good idea but I don't know if it will be utilized very much.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a very different idea. It is pretty cool but I don't think it will be very effective. It seems to be that Facebook is slowly fading away with all the other forms of media coming about. I think businesses will use other resources more than Facebook.
ReplyDeleteI think it is interesting idea for promotion your Facebook by yourself . It's kind of make people to pay attention on what you wants showing. It also very good for the small business pay less money have option to make a little different on their advertisement or blog, and it is also a easy money to make for Facebook.
ReplyDeleteThis is interesting. I know that Facebook is in a scurry to "make money" any way possible. Many are worried about selling information that was intended to be private. I have now noticed that many companies are "promoting" their pages on my News Feed. This is similar to Twitter's promoted Tweets. I think Facebook is beginning to lose traction to other social media sites and they are now adapting to the developing trends.
