I remember it as it was yesterday and I sat on the floor
in my house and played FIFA 1998 on my new PlayStation (for you guys who do not
know what FIFA is; it is a soccer video game). The reason to that I recall how it was
to play FIFA 1998 almost makes me scared when I yesterday tried the new FIFA
2013 at my friends place. The development of the game is incredible; it is just
ridiculous to mention the two in the same sentence. In fact it is a big
difference between FIFA 2013 and FIFA 2012 as well. The boll control is better,
the dribbling’s are better, and the shots are harder. The whole experience of
playing almost makes me believe I am playing myself.
These improvements I
have seen during the fifteen years I have been playing FIFA makes me think
about what it will look like in another fifteen years. Will it literally be like
watching a game live? Will you be able to monitoring your players exactly the
way it is in reality? Is there ever a stop where the technology cannot get
closer to reality? What do you guys think?

I think this is a great point. I also wonder what video games and phone for example will really look like in the next 10 years. I also think that this has more pressure on the companies who are expected to design a new video game or phone every year. I think we will all be amazed what is physically possible in designing and creating a video game.
ReplyDeleteWith the new technology in videos games in the future we will actually be in the game playing what ever the game is what is being played. It may sound ridiculous but hey who thought FIFA 13 and Madden 13 would look like an actual game on TV?
ReplyDeleteMan it is hard to think that these video games today could get anymore realistic which is why I think that many of these video game companies are designing new ways to entertained their audiences. They are doing this by adding netflix, hulu, and many other new forms of entertainment that can be accessed through video games now days. I think you should watch this more closely because who knows what they can do with it.
ReplyDeleteGreat point Chris. Great spelling too! haha. I wonder how far they can take it too. I think that it can never get past a physical screen on which the images are being portrayed. If it gets anything beyond that, then it is not really even a video game anymore. Also, if they make it to a point where you have to physically do movements, most people will not be very good at the game. haha. just saying. hey i would suck at that if it were madden or nba or mlb.
