Would you pay $ 399 instead of $ 99 for the same
phone? However, a lot of people do this. What I am talking about is the new iPhone
5 compared to the previous iPhone 4s. Obviously, there are some differences between
them since people are purchasing the iPhone 5. For example, the iPhone 5 is
4.87 inches wide instead of 4, 5 inches, it is 0.30 inches deep
instead of 37, its display has a little bit better resolution, and its video
and battery time is marginally better. Yet, these differences are at least for
me unnoticeable when I am playing with the new iPhone 5, but apparently that is
not the case for the people that do buy the iPhone 5. On the other hand, I
understand that people who love new technology products can tell the differences,
but in general I feel that the only reason apple launches new models this often
is to make people spend money when they do not need to; a very smart way making
money, that is for sure.
However, the other day I went in the an apple store
in hope of a new iPhone, and the seller I spoke to claimed that the differences
between the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4s was massive which I found after my researches
was untrue. Therefore, my question goes to you guys is the differences between iPhone
5 and iPhone 4s big enough for buying iPhone 5 or no?
I think it depends on the person when it comes to an upgrade like this. The upgrade as you have pointed out isn't a giant leap. For me personally I would upgrade to the 5 for a couple simple reasons. The first is that it is made out of the same aluminum alloy that my MacBook Pro is made out of, and I have found that to be very reliable. Secondly the A6 chip in the 5 is ridiculous. Its even faster then all but the last 2 models of iPads, it's one of the most powerful mobile chips on the consumer market. These two reasons are enough for me to upgrade.
ReplyDeleteGranted the money is there, because as a college student that's what it all comes down to. (haha)
I agree I think it depends on the person. For me, I was considering upgrading to the new Galaxy rather than upgrading to the IPhone 5. I felt like upgrading to the Iphone 5 would not really feel like an upgrade. If i went to the Galaxy I would receive the old feeling of receiving a new phone and having to learn all the new features. So no I don't think the Iphone 5 is worth the money when there is no big difference in the phones. The only thing that is different with the Iphone 5 over the 4S is just the size of the phone. All other features are similar. So what's the point of spending that much money on the same product?
ReplyDeleteYea That is what I thought as well. So Andrew, do you have the new Galaxy? are you pleased with it? I have heard it is the best on on the market right now.....
