This past week Apple launched their newest product, the iPad Mini. The iPad mini is basically a smaller iPad or a larger iPod. Unlike many of their older products, which defined the handheld tech world, the iPad Mini is not the first small tablet. There are many critics out there saying that Apple has lost their touch and, since the death of Steve Jobs, the company as a whole is going downhill. I don't think this is completely true; however, the iPad Mini was not as good of an idea as their past products.

I don't think we will be able tell right away, but rather we will have to watch and see what they do within the next year. What it looks like to me is that Tim Cook took what Apple hadn't done to cover the market and did it. Like perfecting the iPhone, and adding the iPad mini; thus adding diversity. The real test will be seeing what new innovations they come up with in the next couple years or so...iTV has been in the talks, who knows what they will do.
ReplyDeleteI do not think that Apple is out of good ideas. I think they are just in a valley right now and will eventually come up with new innovative products. Not every product they produce will be a best seller, there will always be those that lack customer interest.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that apple is out of great ideas. When apple came out with the ipad I did not think it would make much money except for those few people who use their ipad to read books. I would not pay for the ipad mini but that does not mean that they wont sell a ton. It's hard to say that the company going down hill when they sold twice as many iphone 5's than they did iphone 4's on the first day.
ReplyDeleteI think the iPad mini is a pretty crazy awesome new product by Apple. Who the heck could create something that small and practical? I think Apple is doing just as good as ever and will continue to exemplify creativity and innovation in years to come.

ReplyDeleteWe can all agree that for the first time Apple is actually taking ideas and designs from the android and samsung competitors right? They've been offering smaller tablets since they started making them.
